Freddy’s Super Slippery Day

Freddy woke up feeling bold,
“Today,” he said, “I’ll catch some gold!”
He sprinted outside to his backyard pond,
Hoping to find frogs of whom he was fond.

He tiptoed in grass so lush and bright,
But stepped in mud—what a silly sight!
He slid and splashed with a grand “Ker-PLUNK!”
Now his clothes smelled like a swampy skunk.

A frog nearby let out a croaky laugh,
Freddy stood up, feeling daft.
He reached to grab that froggy friend,
But stumbled again, as if on pretend.

Soggy socks and a slimy grin,
Freddy refused to let the frog win.
He chased it around the water’s edge,
Until it hopped beneath the hedge.

At last, muddy Freddy collapsed with a sigh,
And the frog blinked back with a teasing eye.
Freddy just grinned at his slippery quest—
Frogs are tricky, and messes are best!
