A Hamster’s Dessert Dilemma

 


My hamster snuck into my birthday cake,
He gobbled it all—goodness’ sake!
Now he’s rolling around, too stuffed to see,
Burping sprinkles he stole from me!

Nine-year-old Oliver had always loved exploring the woods behind his grandparents’ house. Rows of tall oaks, maples, and pines stretched for miles, filled with hidden trails and secret clearings.
